When I arrived at Krater Studios I was naive enough to think that I knew most of what there was to know about acting. I'm glad they showed me otherwise. With Paolo, we were able to play within our scene study classes while replicating what it was like to be on set, and in the audition technique class I was able to tighten all aspects of my performance to play well not only for my character, but to camera as well. Oh yeah, they record all classes so you can watch back your experience for the day! For any level of actor, I highly recommend Krater Studios, they helped me break the shell of what I thought acting was, and taught me the continual learning process I now know it to be.

“I started with Krater Studio, which is an amazing studio. I think that most actors that first move to L.A. should start with Krater Studio, because we do on-camera work, and I think that that’s really important in class. A lot of classes don’t do on-camera work, and it allows you to see the things you do…. "

"An acting teacher I recommend to everyone is Los Angeles named Jen Krater first introduced me to the idea of looping it through the heart over a decade ago, and I've found it applicable to nearly every scenario imaginable for both my own life and my client's"...often when an actor would be performing in front of her class and they'd reach the part of the script where they were. gearing up to ask a big question or deliver big news, Jen would gently whisper from the sidelines, "Get in trouble." And inevitably the actor would transform in front of our eyes. The moment would crackle."

"I studied with Jen Krater in New York City for many years and when my daughter showed a passion and talent for acting, I knew that the only coach I would let her work with would be Jen Krater. Jen understands how to use her natural talent and instincts and how to make them stronger, hone her strengths and how to work on things that come less easy to her. She works with her privately but also coaches her for big auditions. After several callbacks for feature films, Jen also coached her final callback for a major feature film (which ended up being an Oscar nominated movie) which my daughter booked. While on set, she wasn’t allowed to share or work on the script but even without working on the material Jen zoomed with her several times to help her stay connected to her talent, her instincts and her craft. Jen’s help has always been invaluable. She truly is a teacher and coach I would recommend to anyone wanting to carry major roles in feature films or television, and she is also an inspiring and kind human being who cares for her actors and the craft deeply.
